trouble shooting power seats

I am trying to get my power seats to work . I have a chiltons manual, but nothing in there,
I check the power to the seat controls , no power
I check the seat motor no power
I cant find a fuse, or not looking in the right place. I was thinking a loose wire or something but im coming up short.

Any info can help?

I know I probably should just get some nice bucket seat,and a 5 point harness but these seats are nice for the bumpy ride.

Does that chiltons manual have the wire diagram for the seats, that is what you will need.

I hate tracking down electrical issues, HATE IT!

So I ran the seats from a battery strait up and the seat works go up, down back and forward all functions work. Im going to pull out the seats today and pull up the carpet and start check ing the wiring, if I cant find anything I will just run new wires with an inline fuse. does anyone have a wiring diagram for the seats on a 1991 xj? I can tfind anything on the internet " or im not looking in the right place"

So I found all the info I should need on another Cherokee forum. So
I will see what happens later today.

I found a electrical connector under the carpet completely burned through. so down to radio shack foor a new connector and its all good.
