A Jeep made by Ford in Brazil?

"
Back around 2005 Ford bought 25% of Troller Velculos Especias of Brazil. To stop it from competing with its land rover sales and to get a big tax break on its ford vehicles made or imported to Brazil. The Troller company owned the rights to build the YJ Jeep. and was building a version calling it the Troller T4 that had the potential to hurt Jeeps overseas sales. In 08 Ford bought full control of Troller,And stared pouring in capital for the development of the company.

The 09 Ford Troller T4 feature: A 5 speed clark manual trains,dana & ford axles,3.0 turbo navistar/international diesel.4 wheel dis breaks,fiberglass bode,steel chassis,cargo of 530 kgs,3,foot water crossing ability with snorkel, and a host of options.
The web site is troller.com.br, cant wait for JPF to get there hands on one. Youtube.com has a lot of video no the T4 Troller. Some may wonder if the puncher of Jeep is next for Ford?

I had never seen this before.

That would have been a good design for Jeep to have based the Liberty on when it first came out, would have been more useful :D

The YJ was pretty much dead design-wise when the TJs came out, at least in the American market. As far as designing a small SUV, designed based on a CJ/YJ platform, that's what the new wrangler is, right? :D
its cool that it comes with a 3.0 turbo diesel,...
Makes me wonder why we can't get those here. Topic's been beaten to death, but it seems that just about every vehicle made in the us has a diesel option when sold overseas.

My cynical side says there is money involved somewhere in that decision, Ford, Chrylser, GM all make diesels that go overseas.

I'd think emissions certification might play a part, as every powertrain combination has to be certified in each chassis it's used in.

...,except for the fact that cars have 2, 3 and sometimes a truly ridiculous number of engine options, so obviously the money's there for multipul powertrain certification.
