Trip Report: My vacation in West Virginia

Looks like a fun time man!

Lol

I wanna do something like that in a few years but to Moab. Stay here and there and take like 10 days. Leave Friday and stay where ever for 2 days getting there and wheeling first and middle of the week and take my time coming back seeing the sites.

Our club is planning a group trip out to Moab in October, I think...

here's whats called 'Double Winch hill'...most people need a winch mid way up it, and at another section at the top. It had just finished pouring out, so it was very slippery. The first section pretty much sends you into this one tree on the way up.

both my big dents on my drivers side came from that tree...but i DID make it up the whole thing unassisted!

(right after i smash my tail light you can hear a girl say 'that cherokees out to prove everyone wrong'...all morning i got made fun of for having one, but by the end of the day everyone was sayin how well mine did :D)

looks like summersville lake dam with summersville lake on one side and the river on the other, Next time let me know when you are in the area, we used to run swiss all the time but now it has been taken over by the NPS and alot of it is off limits now, we have stopped running any of it until we can get definate property lines figured out with the NPS

im sure ill be there for next years jamboree, not sure if ill make it out sooner, its about a 10 hour drive ha. i guess the West virginia jeep club or some other group had hosted a big event that weekend at swiss, but we arrived too late for it. Ill definitely let ya know if im in the area again.

Yup that was our Club, Mountaineer Offroad and it was the West Virginia Childrens Charity Ride, we hold it every year and base camp out of Songer Whitewater. Lookin like we will be moving it over the Good Evening ranch next year since we lost some of our best trails in Swiss. The new location should be alot better as Base Camp wil be right at the trail head and we have some great trails there and will spend this year building some really good ones also. We have been asked by the owner to build what we want there so it's on now. Once everything is in place, I will post up the info well in advance for anyone who is interested in attending next years event
