my tranney has ben acting up and i am not sure what is wrong. when i drive around for a wile and come to a stop it feels like trying to take off in 3rd gear but i can manualy shift it down in to 1st and it works just fine. any ideas on what is wrong and how to fix it?
Sounds to me like the tcu is not working for some reason. If you disconnect the tcu and shift to drive the jeep tries to start out in 3rd. If you pull it down to the 1-2 position it will take off in 1st and you can shift up to drive and jump to 3rd.
OR fluid and filter time- i treated my wifes jeep to some trans-x and changed the fluid a short time later. seemed to work better. 180k on it now.
OR you broke it and its really not my fault- no matter what my wife says.
