Toyota axles in an XJ?

a d44 is still questionable with 35s and a locker, for 35s on a Toy front, you just need the upgraded Birfs (longs or pros) which are only $60 a piece and you're pretty much bulletproof.

of course the Toy axles are PS drop, kinda narrow, don't turn quite as sharp....

but if I were building a buggy (budget of course), I would definitely go with Toy axles front and rear. I would also use their tranny and a couple T-cases, but put a 4.3 or shortstar in front of them. The Toy drivetrain is pretty outstanding, except the 22R(E) is kinda lacking.

But it would definitely still have a Jeep "body" :D
