I went down to the Copart yard today with Keven to see what I could see.

Eyeballing June 5th to tear it apart, if everything works out.
Pic one, look close and you can see my intake manifold...dripped onto the steering linkages.
One tire (pictured) is the new spare, other front and the rears are good (as good as they can be with a spool). Everything in the toolbox is wasted.
I have pictures of under the hood, in the cab, and in the toolbox. I'll probably post them later.

Thank you to Billy, I uploaded to the XJ Database

Wow, looking at those pictures really illustrates 1. That you're lucky you weren't hurt, and 2. How important it is to have a fire extinguiser. Glad you could save the tires Phil. Keep us updated on the dismembering party :D

Actually 3 things, Mtr's are awesome. They help air when there were huge flames next to them. Mtr's rule man. :flame:

Looks good!

that's just...... no words. i think i hear my mj crying.

i am going otu to buy a fireextinguisher today. a buddy says mjs are getting so rare that even a bbq is worth dismantling. of course his mj is sitting in norcal under a pine tree.
glad to hear no humans were injured.

 stoney

I blew a little bit more than a weld there. :moon:

Yep I'm in an XJ now. One extinguisher for now, but maybe I'll try to figure out an underhood system when I have more time than obligations.

Tuesday morning I was heading east on the 80, and I saw what looked like a shorty MJ, black, with a prerunner style tube coming off his bumper. He was going west, though. Anyone you know?

I've got some pics of the box, edit: check your hotmail.

haha, tuesday morning I was driving down to Davis around 10, must have been me! I've been running around on my street tires still (33s), but man the 35" MTRs look great, and work great even in 2wd. My front gears (with ARB, woohooo!) are done, I'll lengthen the driveshaft soon, then I think I'll be going to Fordyce next weekend. I'll be sure to post pics.

edit: nothing in my hotmail, it's [email protected] in case you forgot
