TJ lifts

The TJ's are going up, about 2-3", both need new shocks so we are not going to waste the money on just stocker replacements. Looking at Skyjacker, Rancho lifts that come with shocks and spacers and bumpstop extensions. Question is does anything have to be done with driveshafts. Both already have JKS disconnects that are adjustable up to 4". One needs new tires so 31's or 32's are in the plans, one already has 30's.

I had a rough counrty 4" on mine and then added a 3" body lift. It had a TC drop and no vibes. With the body lift I had to buy the bracket that bolts on the Transfer case. On 33's I could run 80 on the highway. I then ran 36's but sold it before it was trail tested. It had no power on the streets with the stock gears. I have recently traded it in for a Ford Excursion. I would recommend the RE BB, it isn't as sexy as the other lifts but with a BB/BL you can fit 33's with front bumpstop extensions and still flex quite well. If you don't want to go the BB then I would say go either OME 2.5" (best riding there is, I ran this set up) or the RE 3.5" SF that is a great combo of ride and flex on the trail. HTH, AL

We did an OME, heavy duty, got about 4.5 inches out of it. Man, those springs are tall compared to the originals...
