There were at least a few good ones in the past week or two alone.

what exactly are you un sure of, up front just hold them in place trace with a sharpy cut.
On the ass end if you want to weld it back up you do the same process if not just fold the pinch see over with a few release cuts

Position the flare were you want it, use nail polish to mark the holes to drill. Have someone else hold the flare of course, but that's how I did it, and all the flares came out perfectly even.
