Titan Engines?

Weren't they $2,095 buy now or with starting bid of $1,900 a year ago(before shipping)? What's with their core policy?

There's a guy on the stokers group that seems to be gettin' screwed by Titan. Long story short his first stroker from them was making noise so he drove down there to have them repair/replace. After a few hundred miles the cam went flat due to them (Titan) not doing a proper break in and upon disassembly by the buyer, there was evidence of a piss poor DIRTY rebuild. They don't seem to know what they are doing, at least with this motor.
So apparently Titan agreed to send him a new cam/lifters, roller rockers to replace his now damaged one. They sent him the cam that was originally in his motor that they replaced. Yup the used cam. And other parts have yet to arrive. They won't return his calls/emails.

I don't mean to bash Titan. I'm just relaying the info that I've been following along.

Sounds like my buddy. He bought a titan motor... it ran like garbage. He drove his Jeep 300miles to titan, so could they could swap in a new motor, but when he got home the second motor ran like garbage as well. Now they're randomly sending him replacement parts... some used. I suspect he's taking them to court.

They have a stroker for 2600 buy it now on ebay.

Blimey! A year ago Titan were selling them for $1900. I've heard mixed reviews about them; some good, and the bad ones have already been mentioned. Since the aftersales service could at best be described as iffy, I'll suggest three alternatives:

1. Build your own stroker.
2. Golen stroker; generally good and aftersales service from Chad Golen reputedly good.
3. Hesco stroker; much more expensive but build quality and aftersales service outstanding.

Is this the same guy that posted the pics of the damage on the Hesco site?? What a mess! The bad part is the cam problem is only a part of the trouble..flat ass sloppy work....the crank is improperly finished, the block needs align boring and who knows what all else...I dont know how big an operation Titan is, but any business can have problems turning the big corner from small time where one or two guys do personalized quality work to bigger time operation where they have to hire more people to keep up with demand...I'll tell you right now it's damn hard to find qualified, professional mechanics that give a crap about their work no matter what trade they are in....right now I would give my right nut and a big wad of $$$ to find qualified and motivated professional HVAC/R mechanics...
