my 2000, xj threw a code this mornin, paul, my bro and i, did a 2wd to 4wd swap, last week, drove home in 4wd, cuz the rear shaft was too long, anyways, the stock 2wd harness for the speed sensor was too short to reach the tcase, seein it was for a 2wd tranny....well it threw a PO500, veh. speed sensor malfun., im just wonderin what to do? should i get one for a 98 231 tcase?! and splice that in place of the other one?!

is the 2wd sensor gear driven or magnetic?

if it is, try to rotate the sensor to the right position since it is oblong.

hmm ill try that tomorrow!and i never thought of that, just connect more wire...durrr
