I have decided to put the 35" BFG muds on with the stock axles. A friend has stock axles w 4.1 lockrite D30 and 8.25.for 200 bucks I'll probably pickup and swap later keeping mine for replacements. I just want to get the tires under it cause I like the look, and I won't lose interest since I don't wheel much yet. I have a bastard sonoma pack and 2" blocks should give me about 5-6.5" at least in the back. I have procomp 3" coils and lower arms in the front and a 2" spacer on the way. Also I have the brake line relocation kit ordered as well. Please advise me on what else I will have to fix. Is a SYE absolutely neccesary? What needs adjusted up front besides the brake line to go to 5-6". Fenders are chopped already, rear up to the weld and the front is way up. Not very concerned about ride since it will ultimately be a weekend driver. anysuggestions will be apppreciated......

3" Procomp lift w AAL/5 yrs old.

I'm running BFG A/T's in the 35x12.5" size on a d30/8.25 combo with good experiences :)

This is on the 29 spline 8.25 however.

You will want some longer shocks, an sye for sure, and you will want to learn a few things about the stock steering angles at 6" of lift.

I am not sure that Brake line relocation is ok. You "Should" have new SS lines that are longer.

I assume you have an Adjustable trackbar.
I assume you have adjustable swaybar links.
You will most likely need the SYE due to vibes. It is possible you could get away without it if you can get the angles right and make sure you do not bind at all at full droop.
35" tires are Very large for stock brakes.
What gears you running?
Shocks will need to be longer as already mentioned.

You will probably need longer Upper control arms.

Replacment axles with the 4.10 gears are already setup for the ROckcrawler longarm kit. So I'll pick them up when I get those axles. I still need an adjust track bar and the SYE kit, and a brake upgrade. Thanks

i would start carring spare parts, such as a tie rod, draglink, spare tre's, spare shafts, spare joints, and possibly even a dshaft....35's will start finding the weak links and the wearable items fast on your jeep.......oh and btw, your braking will be horindous.

What else did ya have to fix on it.. besides the above mentioned components at a minimum?
lemme just quote my sig from the Jeepforum :)

99 Jeep XJ - NP231, SYE, 4.56's, RE 5.5" XD Lift w/ drop brackets, Skidrow TC Skid, ORT Rear Bumper + Carrier, Rigidco Front Winch Bumper + Steering Box Plate, Milemarker 8000 Winch, Rock Sliders, 35x12.5 BFG A/Ts, HD Currie Steering, Control Arm Skids, Optima Red Top, Trimming, bumpstopped and steering stopped accordingly, no sways front or rear.....

flexes well, wheels great, has great power from a stop, isn't "horindous" at stopping. It's a Jeep, you drive it accordingly, not like a sports car.
