thornys need to be grooved to work good offroad
i know guys who get them for near free then groove them,
they work just like tsl's after grooving
if they are free and you want to groove go for it,

Far far from TSLs with syping and grooving...... next best thing is to make your own tread??? :roll:, Tire compound is a lot harder too.

X2, grooving them may help the tread pattern, but the compound still sucks. You may inprove performance, but you won't make a TSL out of them no matter what you do.

I agree if they are FREE this may be worth it, but personally I don't think these tires are even worth the effort to groove them.......and people will still laugh at you :laugh:

im not goinna run them i just wanted to see what everybody here thought. i dont understand why interco didnt make them a radial since they consider them an "all terrain". they actually came out with a 35x12.50x17 and a 35x14.50x17 and dont see why because i though people quit running them. i think interco outta redesign them, make them a softer compound and make em radials with more siping. i think they look good till there about half tread then they look bad. also i saw some new ones the other day and the tread was very flexible but from past tirds ive saw they get hard after they get a few thousand miles on em

anyone syped their tsl bias ply's? just wondering how much it would improve traction on icy roads
