IIRC the ads for the newer cartoon said "This isn't your father's Autobot" Must have been aimed at those of us who have kids, huh?

I'd be willing to bet this movie gets horrible ratings, be mildly better that the ratings state, and the people who made it had a blast doing so. Hey, it could be another "Fast and the Furious" movie................
 
Just got back from the movie too. Wow....Freakin' awesome!

Sure, it has it's cheezy moments, but it's got a little humor thrown in, and the action is intense. Great flick. I'd give it an A-.
 
I laughed, I cried, it made me warm and fuzzy. Pretty sweet graphics, lame story and yes Megan Fox is fine. I give it an E for effort.
 
Michael Bay sucks.


Movie was good, really intertaining.
but it was made for a large common audience via mr bay, not for the fans.
they should have had a nerd produce it, like they did with lord of the rings.
watch the scene from the original when they are playing "dare to be stupid ont he planet of junk, thats the feeling i wanted from this movie.
and whats up with the character they used for the code hacker? it should have been some small pasty kid in glasses who was obsessed with world of warcraft!


why in the hell did optimus have lips!


Why didnt bumblebee stay the 76 camaro? it was way more badass!

I agree. The plot/story was lame, but made slightly better by Sam's character. I wish they had stuck to the original story line more. But like you said, it was made for mass appeal (and apparently a huge GM commercial). But if you get past the goofiness, it's pretty entertaining. And there looks like a sequel is possible

Yeah, I liked how they showed an injected small block under his hood, and then she's talking about double-pumper carbs.

yeah, i creamed my pants when the hood opened up and there was a pierce manifold with four sidedraft webbers under there.

saw it yesterday with my boy his eyes were the size of dinnerplates the whole time (hes 8) lol great movie, great effects, but they made optimus a little goofy for my tastes. god i love the transformer sound. lol.

Quite the opposite. The CG was amazing and flawless. Probably some of the best CG I have seen. Those robots had some incredible detail.

Numbers just out $84,903,028 in three days. Definitly going to be a Transformers X-mas.
