Its a 1992 Laredo that I bought off some hippie for 800$. Runs strong and passed emmissions at the first fast pass point possible during the IM240 (dyno) test. NP231, Dana 35, AX-15. Power locks and windows all work, compass/temp display on the ceiling display work too. The shocks, tie rods, and ball joints are pretty much shot but as it will be lifted here in a month or so I'm not too worried about it. I already picked up a 27-spline 8.25 and all the 29-spline inards (shafts, carrier, etc), so I'll be putting that together shortly. Anyways, w/o further......

Nice! $800 for a runner you didn't have to work on is pretty good shopping. Looks fairly clean for a '92.

How much of your last heep is going to transfer over to this one? What size tires are those in the pictures?

Not sure what size tires they are, stock sized from what I can tell. The only thing transfering will be the 32" BFG MudTerrains, unless I sell them. Ialready sold the lift and will be getting a 6.5" for this one.

It looks different 'cause I cleaned it and replaced the foked windscreen. Not much excitement to be had behind King Scoopers, is there?

i know just givin you shit man...we need to go wheelin sorry bout today but with everyone sick made it hard...but soon for sure we could also go over by buckly and do some stuff as long as its still open

Well I took the new XJ out last night with Stumpalump. Nothing crazy or anything, just so trails out in the fields and backwoods of Franktown. There were two hillclimbs that were of moderate difficulty, especially for a stock XJ on well used street tires. Overall the rig did good and I was very happy with it. Now I just need to replace my tie-rods so I can go more than 60mph w/o getting the steering shimmy.

Your rig did great last night! Too bad you got there in the dark. Me and John ran some of the big hills in the light and I think we could have got you up the back way to the top. As you build it and need a place to test it come on down. If you break it my shop is just down the road and I have a trailer if we really screw one up. I found a used Currie steering setup if your looking for a deal on somthing better than stock. Ill PM you the link so you can have dibbs.
