Short vid of my WJ at Mountianside this weekend.

That thing is a tank man. Nice WJ! :D

Awesome Grand, nice driving too.

Thanks fellas. It is a fun Jeep. The exhaust is stock with a Flowmaster 40 series. The W has a 4.7 V8 too. Only bad thing about wheeling a WJ over a XJ is when this happens nobody has the parts to fix it on hand.

The short answer is no you can't.

There are a lot of differences between the WJ knuckle, tone rings, unit bearings, and spider gears. That prevent the use of the XJ shaft.

There is a kit to upgrade to the u-joint style shaft but it is $900.

Like I said when this happened. At least now I know where my weak point is in my front end. If I upgrade with alloy shafts and ox u-joints where does this move my failure point? Either the spiders, carrier, or the R&P. All of which will end your weekend right there. New axles are relativley cheap at $70. You can pick up a used set for spares even cheaper.

I will keep changing axles at this point.

Nice Bo! You're lucky there were no beer cans out there to get hung up on. :D
