'The Bruise'

I took mine in with no door handles or locks, mirrors, license plates, bumperettes, flares, grill, and wipers. They taped off the windows, and the roof rack rails and painted everything.
Being a black jeep you could probably get away with that. The problem with mine being a very bright color is that they never can tape the rubber around the glass perfectly. You always get a little overspray on the rubber seals. I would like to keep that from happening again if I can help it.

I am thinking of having my 92 Dodge cummins painted by Maco. Its white and it doesn't need to look perfect.

I took Heep II to MAACO back in '00 and when I did, I stripped all the glass, trim, handles, locks, grill/bezels and interior. I was having a color change done so I wanted as little overspray as possible - they did the door jambs, under the hood and hatch jamb.

Unfortunately, the inside of the fender wells including my lift parts/shocks/axles also got a coat of yellow paint as did the front of the radiator. If I ever do that extensive of a paint job again, I'd soak the wells and suspension parts with WD-40 or vegetable spray so the overspray will pressure wash off. I asked them to mask all that stuff off but they said their paint booth has a floor exhaust fan and they need the air to move under the car...... might not be the case with every MAACO, but it sucked having to clean off my parts and then rattle-can the rest black again.
