the bored out of your mind license plate game

so every time i am driving around and/or stuck in traffic i find myself looking around at other peoples license plates.

not sure when or why i started doing this but its been going on for a few years atleast.

it seems that i always look at the letters in the license plate, and try to put a "J" after them

for instance my old xj's plate was XWT 289

so out of that i would get

XJ = SCORE!
WJ = SCORE!
TJ = SCORE!


of course there are others like my current plate

YJ = SCORE!
NJ = meh...
PJ = sorta score?



and then there are plates that dont work at all

JJ = ?
HJ = uhhh...
EJ = yeah... about that.


but sometimes you get CJ BJ FJ MJ. you get the idea.

anyways.

i felt that if i was not the only one on the road doing this, i would be slightly less crazy.

I had a tag on a few rigs that had "D60" in it in that order. Unfortunately none of those rigs had one.

My CJ has BJ in the tag...not sure that's a good thing.

When I look at plates, since I am in the tourism industy, I look to see if there are any 2 consecutive letters that make out a state postal abbreviation.

ah that is a good one. i may start doing this also. but its second nature now that i automatically see if i can make jeep abbreviations out of the letters.

they'll always get a J first. lol

I usually just look to see if the plates are expired. You'd be surprised at how many folks are running around on expired tags. I saw one this week that expired in 07.

on the last motorcycle i had, i was running tags that had expired in 2004, but nobody ever pulled me over! the plan was to tell the cop i was on my way to go get the tags, then actually go get them, lol.
