I have been a lurker on naxja for a while now but this isnt my first jeep. my first was a 89 comanche that i drove for a couple of months then a parts comanche that barely made it to my house. I bought the purple people eater on my 18th birthday for $1300 from a guy just a few miles away from my house.
Here it is the day I got it.

1999 cherokee sport, 4.0, auto 4wd. lowered in the rear quite a bit. (lol)

i toyed around in it stock for awhile did some wheeling. jumped it once and it got a little lower in the rear. fixed some of the odds and ends with some help from the guys on here. fixed the windows as they would only roll down from the drivers side. drove it as it was pretty much untill january. then somthing really amazing happened.

i got a rustys 4.5" lift and got my hands on a set of 33s a month or so after i got my jeep that I had lying around.

I toyed around like that for a bit ended up cutting the fenders up and ditching the flairs.

I got everything all good to go to dog party and a 2 days prior to dog party i picked up a fender turd and cut up the side wall on one of the tires.hasta
so i put the stockers back on and drove it as is for awhile. Then I found a guy wanting to trade some tires for 33s.traded my 33s for a set of 35x12.5x15 inter trxus mud tires. a few buddies and i got them mounted up and good to go. i didnt know how well they would fit but i didnt really care. Figured i would make em work one way or another.

didnt look to bad so the next day i went and cycled the suspension out to see how badly they would rub with 4.5" of lift.

It seems to flex pretty well in my opinion but some bump stops would definately help out quite a bit. this is how the purple people eater sits in the drive way now. only things on the to do list is a bumper, bump stops, and i need to get these tires balanced here pretty quick before the vibes rip my jeep apart!
