its in need of an oil change and i got some Restore i need to throw in there.
Yeah the sending unit is leaking.
So .. it could be cheap fix. or it might just suck lol
When the oil pressure is at 0, is the top end rattling or is it running fine? Sending unit probably suspect it is sounds fine. Top end rattling would indicate lack of oil.
no. I'd find a mechanical gauge and check the actual pressure. I'm betting the sending unit has decided to mess with you. you know how women can be... you dont give them enough attention and they throw a hissy...
LOLOL
yeah she was mad i took Rubi last week.. this week she decided to throw a tantrum and bust my speedometer and my oil sending unit... both of which are more then $50
on the way to work today and the needle went from 50lbs to 0 the back to 40lbs then down to 5 lbs.. then did a dance to the music needle shuffle.. was quite cool!
i d say the sending unit switch is Gone!
my oil pressure sending unit acted up on my 00 one time, after doing a headgasket repair and head crack (0331 head)... we ended up bumping into the sending unit, and it started acting funny... i'd try that first before looking at engines; but if you do need one, i think brent's is available from the LS2 swap; could be wrong though...
I've discovered I was 4.5 quarts low (yeah, 1.5 quarts left) twice since January. I don't change my oil anymore, I just keep it filled up and swap the filter once in a while...
