Today I did a few runs with a G-TECH device to check my 0-60mph time: 8.89s and 9.45s (this time with a 190 lbs passenger). That was on 225/70/R15 tires and almost full tank of unleaded. I'm gonna update this thread as soon as I'll install Accel tune-up kit and new air filter.

Speaking of air filter: my old one need replacing, should I get normal rectangular replacement K&N or try this $60ish K&N cone + pipe from eBay and make a heat shield for it? I would opt for normal to keep stock air box if the diffrence in performance isn't noticeable.

If you want the poor filtering capablility of a K&N, go all out and get the tube. If you want to filter the air going into your engine, stay with the AC-Delco paper unit.

I'd take K&N over paper anyday. They resist water wat better and if it wasnt for K&N i'd have a hydrolocked engine right now. Greg if you don't do much muddin then get the cone.

IF you get the cone, buy a few bottles of cleaner/oil from summit. I clean mine and reoil it after going muddin up here in michigan. Thing works great for my daily driver, but needs to be cleaned after going through lots of mud!!!! make sure you buy good hoseclamps and really secure that thing to the tube/throttle body so you dont shove mud in your engine.
