Just wondering what you guys think of them? I think the offroad style ones are really nice but at a base price of 3 grand for pretty much just the fiberglass tub doesnt seam to awfull...but when you start adding little accesories to it the price will get out of control reall quick. they have a 18' x 50' receiver rack for 295$. quadratec = 80$ and its a little bigger. . a bike rack 395$ tent with options another grand. a little 4inch lift kit (needed to run 33's) 300$.. I guess what im getting at has anyone made there own trailer? could be the winter project..one of many.. . if i Had 5 grand burning a hole in my pocket it wouldnt go into a trailer with silly options . id get a banshee or a bike. the girl pickup factor is alot higher then something il use only a few weeks a year.

I agree. They look really nice, but the price is ridiculous. If they sold the trailer with tent for... let's say, somewhere around $2,500 I'd have probably bought one two years ago. As it is, I can buy a welder, all the woodworking and canvas-working tools I need, the metal, the canvas, wood, whatever, and pay myself $10/hour to build my own, and STILL come out ahead on the deal!

Personally, I think this guy has the right idea and it's the sort of thing I'm planning for my "winter project" this year...

So you ARE the Dmillion over at teardrop times!!

Once I get some time that the direction I am going also, but probably something of a hybrid of the outback tear and a "wild goose"

thanks for the links guys . have you seen safaritrailers.com ? i was like o these arnt bad.. untill i saw the 12,500$ price tag !! haha i dont know what im going to to i really like the tentrax but there prices are screwy. some one should go into the cheep trailer making business !

how is the pricing screwy? Everything I have heard is that there isn't enough profit in small trailers to make any kind of money at it.

Well, there surely isn't going to be any profit in it as long as they try to sell a trailer for $12,000 that you could build at home for less than $2,000!!!

i ment tentrax seams a little screwy .. check out there options almost 400$ for a bike rack !?! almost 300 for 2 little 2 foot long nerf bars? and the receiver cargo racks is what gets me. 295 bucks when you can get the same thing from quadratec even a little bigger for 80?

Thats what I was thinking, those tents are cool, especially since they have a hardtop and all but cost some serious $$$$$$$$$. Its just an idea tho
