The best way to thwart terrorist is to plan out an attack against yourself, identify your vulnerablities, and the make adjustments to harden those vulnerabilities. I believe it's called red cell.

This teacher maybe on to something. Security analysts look at what they are trained to look at and go stale after a period of time. These students will bring a different perspective and will have a different view point.

A management tool (heard originated from Goodyear Tire Shops) is the district manager takes the shop manager across the street and looks back at the shop. "What do you see? asks the district manager. I herd about this and really see nothing wrong with it. The best way to learn to protect against something would be to understand the thought that goes into planning it.

I can plan on how to best break into a house in order to safe guard against an intruder, it doesn't mean I am going to actually break into homes.
