I am pulling my engine, I have everything off and am now ready to pull it off the tranny. I can't get to the top few bolts, I tryed adding some extensions and getting it from under and I couldn't get it enough to break the torque. Does anyone have any suggestion on how to get to these? thanks for any help

They are E12 size external torx bolts, use a long 24" extension and universal joint and attack it from the bottom. I removed the engine mount bolts and let the engine down to gain more room. Autozone has a set of the sockets you need for $8. if you wrap duct tape around the ujiont it helps keep it from flexing too much. Don't forget the trans flex plate bolts (4) 15mm wrench size.

just like he said. The key is to lower the engine so you have enough room to move around in there. Don't use a standard socket because you will strip the bolt, have to drop the engine/tranny/xfer together and grind off the head of the stupid bolt. Why, oh why did jeep use those damn backwards torque bolts up there, what's wrong with standard bolts??
