I bought these off eBay a while back. Each piece of steel is solid (not hollow), they're pretty heavy and the pair cost $80. But a HUGE pain to mount because the edges of the hatch rubbed horribly on the metal mounts. By the time I had ground them down to clear the hatch, their integrity was greatly reduced. As you can see, I still kept them, but I haven't "met" any trees or rocks since to get a good impression of how useful they might be. They look good tho . Have to remove them to pass Jersey inspection.

Forgot to mention it is a 97. There is no prob finding them for the 96 and older. Thanks though

I've got some around here somewhere. They are hollow, and don't offer much true protection but look good. PM me if you are interested.

Check the links in his other thread. Couple of different options for the 96-

Always go forwards. That way you won't FU your tail lights. It's too hard to see out the back.

are these the ones your talking about? unless your just going for the look they are not worth it. they are made out of cheap thin wall tube, and only attached on one side, the inside behind the light. so they hang on the side just waiting to grab something. i mean it is kinda cool when you rub up against a tree and they would fold back. after having to fold them back too many times i took them off.


irony would have it out for me. not even a week later i broke a tail light!!!!:doh:
anyway, i have a set that i am willing to get rid of!
