swaybars

Ok so i typically run a sway bar when i am prerunning a trail. I came off a few jumps and bent the axle side mounts. I had to raise them a bit due to rock krawler steering. Well since they are raised they were easier to bend.

What do yall do as for sway bars? Is there a way i can make a stronger axle side mount? Im thinking running two pieces of plating upward and boxing in the sway bar link, but i dont see how i can do this with the steering, coil bucket, and steering stabilizer in place.

Anyone have any ideas?

Better shocks, bumpstops and limit straps should do you fine without a swaybar.

lol... as for shocks i have 7100 remote res. I do need to bump stop and put my limit straps on. But even still those two wont make the jeep more stable. If i go into whoops at speed it gets sketchy with out the sway bar. Then again im pretty tall for go fast stuff. sittin at 6 1/2 to 7 in of lift.

I think that Kevin added some gussets to his axle side swaybar links, mostly due to having to trim them for his steering issues.

Are you using the OEM sway bar?

Antirock or similar would suit you much better.

I run anti rock sway bars by currie along with Bilstein 5160s and Deaver coils. Rides greant and handles nice at speeds. Best of luck.
