if you wanted oem quality, why didnt you get dana gears for the front in the first place?

could take the gear sets to your intaller and ask what he thinks.

all I can say is dont ever say no one never told you so. And it really doesnt matter to me if you believe me or not, its what it is...

Well actually no one did ever tell me so.. They are in now and arent coming out so I'll be running them till the day they break or the jeep falls in around them. I have heard other gear installers say that gear brand really doesnt matter and its all about the job on install anyway, unless genuine of course.

The premium Yukon sets have a different Part Number than the "economy" ones, and that should be marked on the box. For a D30 4.10 R&P: Premium's are # YG D30-411. I think the others would be labeled # ZG D30-411.

Incidentially, the Master Install kits from Yukon seem to be a nice all-inclusive bunch of parts, while some other brands are a little lacking.

There is some truth to the statement that actual install is at least as important as the gears themselves.

The front is less important as the rig runs 90% in 2WD, The OEM gears for the 8.25 rear are very hard to come by, Everyone I checked with is out of stock. I heard very good things about Superior gears from an Installer friend of mine + they seem to be highly rated by people here on the board, So I figured I would go with the Front & Rear combo.

Thanks LIZA for the great info, The gears I returned were labled YG D30-4.56, So I guess they were Yukons premium line even though they are made on Korea . If they were 4.10 I would have kept them & gave them a try.
But I checked Yukons website & all the listed applications started with YG, There was no ZG anywhere, Could it be they no longer offer the cheaper gears?

My Yukon D30 4.56's have been great, no complaints. In the rear I was sent Quality Gear 4.56's, they too have been great.
The Yukon master install kits are great as mentioned, they even include inner axle seals which most kits do not.
Genuine is the only one i heard to stay away from, whether that's bunk or not, i do not know.
