So what does everyone have planned for summer mods? I'm sure there are things you never got around to doing or broke at WF that need attention. I'm in both categories

I need to:
  • Install TeraLow 4:1 and 2low
  • Modify trackbar bracket so I can use a RE brace
  • Rebuild trackbar to proper length
  • Hydro assist would be great
  • Z34 hood vents
  • Route intake to cowl
  • Strip and repaint framerails and tube fenders
  • Figure out how to fit 3 car seats in the XJ :D
Whatcha got planned?

my list is too large to even start on right now, but I am currently in the process of swapping out the interior in my 93 with interior (minus dash) from a 97. I also just picked up a set of leather buckets (no they are not vinyl) out of a Daewoo (insert jokes here), but they are firm and narrow and I like the way they sit. They are manual seats none the less, so no power to mess with. I also scored an overhead console and sound bar from the same yard today, so it was a full cargo area in the DD on the way home with a new dash, soundbar, overhead console, wiring harnesses, seats, tool boxes and my friends stuff that he picked up as well. When I get around to it, i will list my non-cosmetic items as well :D

-A couple more coats of Herc on the exterior
-Herc F/R bumpers, sliders, inner fenders
-Maybe cut/fold rear quarters
-Front Pinion Seal
-Ext. Bumpstops & rear brake line
-Get my CB working
-New exhaust
-Hopefully Rear KJ Disc Conversion
-And more stuff I'm sure........

Several little things I need to do before Oct.

  • I'd like to put in a new Alt. Just for piece of mind. It's been on it's last leg for 2 years now.
  • switch to internal balancing on my tires.
  • install 62mm TB and new style intake.
  • change diff. and TC fluids.
  • paint rock rails/bumpers
  • install belly skid I got from Byron
  • mount Co2 tank
I'm sure there's other stuff. I just don't recall what.

install front and rear dana 44's, buy new tires (35's) install on board air/ route air lines for arbs, install tj flares/ rhinoline quarters, and flares, add a tire carrier to the bumper I just built, re do front bumper, install some kind of roof rack w/ removeable basket, I would really like to do the streetbeat customs ragtop+rollcage+tnt stiffeners, but thats not gonna happen till next summer probly, and then get out and wheel it.

Oh and I got some new stickers that need to be installed as well. lol

Sandblast/paint inside/underside of 90 XJ and install all 99 components that have been sitting for a year-free at this point

Sandblast/paint 88 MJ and do the same-cost of materials

Learn how to paint with spray gun I've already bought-free

Get very hot girlfriend that will help me do it all-Priceless!

Not sure about this summer (depends how hard I am on it). But between now and Next Thursday (17th):

Poly motor mounts
install ps filter (easy way to add capacity)
hip bars
more tubing to cage
make place to keep tools
make two spare drive shafts
rebuild one of my current drive shafts

Yeah, do you, I've never heard one way or the other? :D

-Bastard pack in the back for 3.5-4" lift add on inch spacers up front to match.
-New Trxus MTs.
-LED swap in the interior.
-Put in new speakers in the doors and maybe sound bar.
-take off both bumpers and sliders, clean all the cancer off and coat with POR 15
-figure out why only one light on my bumper works.

this shouldn't be too bad.
