Thanks :) My friend who has a 15" RE sub is jealous of it:wierd:

I have Boston Acoustic SX55's all around:D And the ZX350.4 is going to be giving them all 60W RMS each.

Also my HU is a Pioneer DEH-690UB

Check out www.realmofexcursion.com they have some guys with crazy setups on there look in the work logs for the 01 cherokee that has a wall in the back. It belongs to a good friend of mine I know a cherokee should not have 6 12s but its a loud son of a bitch

Nobody's running Clarion? Why?
I have a clarion pro audio 10" sub in a clarion ported box pushed by an old jensen 300 watt amp and it sounds excellent.
Clarion deck.
polk audio tweeters
misc other 6.5"s and 6x9s

Since I discovered this thread recently, I thought I'd post my amp setup. They are a set of older 12" Rockford Fosgate Punch series with a RF 250 Punch amp. While they sound good in my car, they are not very loud, but I have been told that is due to the low power wattage of the amp rather than the subs themselves.

it could be your amp. i'm running a pyle 4000 watt amp. with 3 10's blew 1 replaced it, then broke a wire on the inside of the cone. it would rattle my rear view mirror off once a week. it could sound great if i had some better subs. i've got two lightning audio from walmart and a kicker comp (old style). still rattles pictures off my walls in the house.

So you are saying you are running 4000 watts to 3 10's 2 of which are Lightning audio and 1 kicker comp. even with the level all the way down you are gonna shred those!

i know there POS. they were free. my amp is a 2 channel which all 3 are pluged into. it runs 1000 rms.

Heres mine that I built. This is in the trail bitch, so impressive sound wasnt really going to happen. Plus, I have about $60 into the amp and sub, so for what I have, I wasnt expecting much.

According to my calculations, I have about .3cF of airspace in it. Non ported box, with a 10.

What I had before. Piece of plywood with expanding foam around it for a "box"

Note the ring that I had to put on because of how shallow the box was.

No idea what the amp is. I got it for free a couple years ago, and the sub was actually worth $15 3 years ago at Best Buy:laugh3:

For how much money I have into it, Im not complaining to much. I figure at some point a hilift or something will go through it, so I dont want to have a $100 sub back there when that does happen. I am also not an audiophile, so I try to stick with basic stuff.

i did the usual cubbyhole sub box too. worked out good, there is actually a fair amount of room back there.

here is it before the grill
