Strokers and the AW4

Stockers seem to vary 100-120 to the ground depending on how worn out they are. Strokers from what I've seen here and other Jeep sites don't do over about 210 without help.

The MJ in the video has run a best of 10.6@128, around 550 rwhp. With a TH400. I don't have the kind of coin it'd take to make an AW4 hold that.

I think Toyota Tacoma's have an AW4 variant as well. Some of those pickups had TRD superchargers mounted to their little 3.4 V6 that were ~250 hp. (flywheel)

There is a build on pirate4x4 by YJ and Corey where he has a stroked and turboed 4.0L running 263.7 RWHP & 353.2 ft/lbs of RWT. Thats on a lifted YJ with 40" LTB's.

So I think you will be fine. Its a good 'long' read.

better than mine, it was weak and tired. I think the one they dynoed on trucks threw down some pretty low numbers as well.

Good numbers, but wouldn't stock be without the upgrades?

Yeah, because the mods added soooo much extra power.

IIRC the difference between an A340 and an AW4 is the beefier valve body in the A340. Other than that - same box of gears.

I really need to get to the dyno but I can't now because I broke my transmission. This is after 9000mi of beating on it with a $225 rebuild kit. I still think its strong maybe with little more help. I'm buying some parts from IPT Performance.
