I'd figured it had gotten cited elsewhere in thread, which is why I didn't look for the links to post them.
"Do as I say, not as I do" seems to be the governing principle for Congress, methinks...

What's the current status with SOPA?
I just hear more often that in Europe they are demonstrating because of a similar law called ACTA.
It's really weird that this year the internet community gets to a victim of weird laws which want to destroy our freedom of speech. The world gets a really cruel place.

They're holding off on SOPA until after the election. This way being the scamming politicians they are, they can be re-elected and pass what their constituents don't want without having to worry about being fired in the upcoming elections.
