steering question

on my xj the steering is really tight and feels solid but on my 5.9 zjthe steering feels really loose and i dont rememebr it feeling that loose,but my wife drives it alot. i replaced the steering damper im wondering if maybe its my steering box or p/s pump?

I loaded a ZJ a few years back, sealed under a tarpolin, into a container, addre"ssshhhh"ed to Jeep engineering. Where the steering box and piece of the frame had fallen off. Worth a close look. Think that´s what they mean, by a hidden recall. Think there is a recall, to replace the steering box bolts, on some years, just something I read in passing, but didn´t pay to much attention to (not owning a ZJ).
