Just warnin everybody that I will be joining your ranks soon. I should be coming out to Ohio sometime in the August timeframe. Gettin outta the Corps and goin to college at U of Northwestern OH. How many people we got in the general area of Lima OH? Any recommendations for work? TIA for any help...

Welcome to the MWC, aka the Dark Side. Enjoy your stay. Scooby and BShaw are in that neck of the woods.

Anyone know if Ohio would require me to get an OH license if I'm there as a student?

Welcome aboard!! I don't THINK (don't quote me on this) you will have to worry about that for a while. Not for sure how long you would have until they would need to be changed over. Guessing around a year, just a guess though. Anyhow, if ya ever need anything just holler. If your interested in wheeling over here some time, just pm me.

I'll probably be looking for some wheeling as soon as we get settled into a job and apartment up there. Just have to make sure we start making enough money...

Anyone happen to work for a car dealer who can put in a good word for me so I can get me a job as a lot attendant, salesman, car refinisher (or whatever it is that gets the cars cleaned up to be delivered)

For a skilled position like that, I imagine one would need to start early with an internship while still in college.
Don't set your sights so high, and you have less chance of being disappointed.
Glamour positions like that don't just grow on trees, ya know.
Good luck.

shaddup.

hey man....detailing jobs are easy to get. A good detailer usually ends up going out on his own since they can make more $$. Most dealers will usuall jump at the chance to get someone that really wants a job.

Turnover rate in that position is about 6-8 months.

Good luck.

Cool, I'll be needing a job ASAP as I have car payments, wife, kid, and car insurance...

Well, turns out I'm not moving out that way...I was hoping to but I just can't afford the trip out there. So, I'm going to AZ and maybe will be able to get out there in the near future (and by near I mean next couple years...)

What a tease.
I'll still be trying to put together the money to get there soon though since I like the program that UNOH is running...
