Some people shouldn't have drivers licenses.

MOST people shouldn't have drivers licenses.

Ask any truckdriver - they probably see that all the time. There's a reason I don't drive 80 up into Reno anymore during "winter months."

Oh - and I corrected your title. Let's face it - from what has been seen in the last few years, I think it's more correct. Incompetent instructors and incompetent evaluators don't make for good drivers - kinda like Jeff Foxworthy said, "You mix pond scum with raw sewage and you don't get Evian..."

My wife went to Reno and bought chains at one of the gas stations and the Idian employee installed on the 4x2 Liberty. At the Cal trans check point my wife asked for them to check them because she was fish tailing all over. They looked at the front and had her try to spin the tires, the did not spin go figure!

Saw lots and lots of that sort of nonsense a few weeks ago when we had "The Great Hell-Has-Frozen-Over, Holy-Hell-It's-Snowing-In-Portland, OMG-We're-Gonna-Die Arctic Blast." Chains on the wrong axle, people going 75 MPH on ice, people going 75 MPH with chains on, people going 75 MPH with chains on the wrong axle on ice, and so forth.

Look people, I know it doesn't snow here a whole lot, but really, get your heads in the game.

EDIT: Just noticed that photo is from "The Great Hell-Has-Frozen-Over, Holy-Hell-It's-Snowing-In-Portland, OMG-We're-Gonna-Die Arctic Blast." Why am I not surprised?

I got a good one....

So inbewteen the YJ on 42s and XJ on 37s seet hat lump of snow?... Well when our group first traveled the road 2hrs before the snow was at the level at the top of that lump, we had packed it down that much. On the way back down some hit the 'lump' a little crooked and slid along side it, which knocked off the snow on the rear windows. It turned out to be a 2wd Ford Explorer frozen sandwiched between 8 ft of snow, but it had chains!

Let me guess the Chains were on the front! :roflmao:

I used to use chains on the chevy cavalier I used to have, but I've noticed that New Mexicans and snow don't mix well. In december I was driving through a snowstorm on an icy road to Chama, when I was passed in a no passing zone by a semi hauling along at 55. The worst part was the only other vehicle for miles was a snowplow, and he was in the oncoming lane. He cleared himself a spot off past the shoulder so he wouldn't get run into, but the truck came back into my lane while he was still next to me. I wound up leaving my right mirror on a ponderosa, and it took a while to get out of the snow banked by the plows.

Stupid drivers suck.

just saw this thread, too funny

My old neighbor did that put chains on his wifes honda on the back tires? He thought because it was the V6 model it had to be rear wheel drive.

This thread made me laugh so hard my drink escaped out my nose......... then I realized that i should be scared too!!! There are some oxygen thieves out there that should be put out to pasture!!
