So who is getting some snow?

housesnow.jpg

^parents house, we have about 4-5"s

It's "Lake Effecting" here, but that'll happen most any day from November to May. About 22" on the ground with a nice coating of ice on the top. :shiver: Banks already higher than the plow truck. BUT! I'm happy to be back in a Jeep once again. Wish I'd bought an XJ years ago. Gotta love that Full Time position on the T-case selector.
Somebody got himself a 242..... just don't rely on it too much, and get into something you can't get out of.

The roads here are getting much worse, and the idiots are overdriving for conditions. Saw several vehicles in the median, including 1 rollover and a pickup who tangled with a semi-trailer (he lost.)

I just went and plowed a few driveways across the street in the good ole John Deere. Made a few bucks but brrrrr is it cold out.

We've got about 6" here. There is talk of more lake effect snow, but i dont see it happening. Where i'm at is soooo close to Chicago and just over the border in IN, we constantly are lead astray as to what our forcast is gonna be. Because Chicago cares about "the City" and the "northside" and thats it. So over in IN we are left on our own to find out the forcast. Oh well I hate the City anyways!

I used to go to seven springs all the time when i was a kid. it was a blast!

still snowing in Bloomington, even though the weatherman said yesterday the snow was supposed to stop at Noon yesterday??

On the main streets they salt the CRAP out of them, but seems to do no good cause there's soo many people driving on it, the salt gets thrown around and off the road.

The side streets don't get salted and they are pretty much down to the asphalt. They plowed early today, before noon, and the sun was out just long enough to melt what was left by the plow truck.

The trucks around my neighborhood actually got their Sh-- together this year. I guess it helps if a former Governor lives down the street. They take care of their own, know what i mean. Which makes our lives easier who live on the same street.

so i got home today, had to bust out the shovel and go to town again on my sidewalks and parking spots, i don't have a driveway i park both my XJ and the wife's cobalt on the street and since my streets only get the center plowed i shovel out the street were we park, i had the XJ across the street cleared one spot pulled the wife's car into that then cleared the next spot, (took about 45 min for both) then i put the shovel down hoped in the XJ started it up and looked over to see some jack ass parking in my freshly shoveled spot :flamemad:

i must have had a really mean looking face cause when i got out to tell him to move he looked at me and backed right out and drove down the street, im glad i didn't have to pull his ass out my spot :twak:

That is funny right there! Man would i be furious too. Spend all that time to make a nice spot for yourself only to see some douche sneak in and bask in your hard work. I woulda chased him down the street with shovel in hand waving it around like I'm gonna bash his car in with it. That'll teach him to ever try that again.

I had all of the snow shoveled into the parking spot infront of my house! :looney: No one parks there but me....lol

What kind of lesser vehicle was he driving?

a VW convertible. :puke:

hes looking for a new car though. he didnt like the new wranglers (the way they drove) so thats out of the question. he drove a FJ cruiser and LOVED it. im trying to get him in a V8 commander, but he doesnt want a gas guzzler.

so now hes looking into subarus.

Just started working for Subaru as a Mechanic. Went from a GM shop. Subaru's are absolutely incredible in the snow! And they are Very easy to work on.
