what's up fawkers? I just got to Ann Arbor, MI on Monday. First time this far north and I don't know a soul. My fiancee is going to UM for her MBA so I'll be here for two years and not a minute longer. (i freeze in GA) The really sucky thing is I just got my t&t's on and really want to try them out. so if anyone in the area knows of any places we can wheel let me know please. i was gonna put 'em on a month ago and go to tellico with some buds but a car accident held up my progress untill 2 days before i moved. so that was a no go. anyway hope you guys can take on another noob. Check out the Mounds up in Genesee County, or Silver lake dune area up near Mears Michigan. Other than that Try checking out michiganjeepers.com, a lot of people on there from southern MI.

sorry but MI really doesn't have much to offer to test your LA's. The Mounds are just north of Flint. Its basically a big mud hole that will eat anything on your jeep that has bearings, read alternator. There are a few trails there that are fun but for the most part is just mud.

The northern part of the lower penusula is only about a 3 hour drive away. Its mostly a bunch of two track through the woods. Terrain is hilly with a lot of sand.

If you really want some challenges your going to have to drive a ways: Badlands, Rockport, Paragon, Canada.

I'd highly suggets signing up for Michigan Jeepers (michiganjeepers.com). Its an online "club". Check the trail rides section, there' s always someone going somewhere.

My jeep is down for a few weeks right now, but i plan on hitting the Mounds once its done, yeah i know it sucks but its close. Shoot me a PM if you're interesed in heading up there.
