Smog shop in placer county?

Anyone know of one who's good to the cherokee owners that might be fairly close to the max ppb of carbons.

i worked for a shop over summer that smogs vehicles - though they are by the book.

they are VERY good at getting vehicles that fail to pass though - diagnostics are spot on...

Thanx for the reply are they expensive? My mother lives in benica so I'm out there once a month or so. I know walnut creek is upper scale in a few sections which can inflate the price in areas? Are they hoopla for my dinero or do they cut some decent deals?

these guys are a legitimate shop that does good work. Period.

they arent out there to take anyone's cash, just a small business doing good work and charging what it takes to make $$$ and bring food home.

do you have an engine or something about your engine that isnt supposed to be there? or are you just looking at your stock 4.0 and thinking that it will have problems?

what year cherokee?

I bought an 87 4.0 with 169,000 miles on it a few months back and according to documentation it passed smog with flying colors in 02 but a couple weeks back I started smelling half burnt fuel out the exhoust and I think its runnen rich. I cleaned the throttle body tps, map with die electrode and replaced thermostat but it still seems to be runnen rich. I'm sure if I take it to them the might be able to figure it out. It might just be a leaky injector or bad o2 but the o2 looks new so i dunno. All exouhst components were new oem replacements right before I got it so The o2 should be brand new. No check engine light. I'm sure these guys will figure it out if you say there good I'll be out there anyway. We should do some bay area wheelen next time your out here. I have yet to find decent spots in the bay.

sure - though the bay area isnt all that great - i head down to Frank Raines or Hollister or Prarie City if i am just looking to spend a few hours...

not much else out there as far as legal wheeling...

make sure to call and get an apointment - Central Tune Up is very busy and likes to know when cars are coming in...

7:00am till 5:30pm monday - friday...

So I might not be in benicia for a while, does anybody know of a decent smog shop in placer county that are good at diagnosing any problems that my arise from not passing. I'd like to get my rig purren cleanly. Hopefully one that doesn't charge 100$ an hour.
