Slip Yoke Eliminator and Axle swap - options and answers

I'm not a huge fan of using factory front driveshafts if the rig is used hard. The tubing is much thinner and weaker in a factory front driveshaft when compared to a TW or other aftermarket shaft and I've seen them twist.

lol, i doubt the shaft will ever twist when im wheeling i dont wheel it hard enough i dont thinik, why would people recommend it if it totally sucked?

Who says it totally sucks? I ran one for 8 months or so before i twisted 2 of them. I said i wouldnt want to be behind you when you are replacing the shafts. Buy quality and do it once instead of buying "10" spares

This is one of the great things about a forum. You get plenty of oppinions! And most of them are valid.

I ran a front shaft in the rear on my 5K lb XJ for numerouse years. I never had any issues with either front or rear shafts, but I didn't use the skinny pedal as much as others might.

IF money grew on a tree in my backyard I would have had a TW shaft. IF I would have damaged one more than once or twice I would have bought a TW shaft. But for my purposes it worked flawlessly and was in expensive. I know many others who have had the same experience.

Also, I would rather use a DS as a fuse than a rear axle shaft, pinion, or ring gear.

Gotcha =D When I recover from buying this winch and AA I will probably look into buying a TW shaft then. Gonna run the front DS and have a spare until then!
