So I went to the local paint store thinking I would get some single stage heavy equipment paint to make my Heep all one color again, while prettying up the bodywork etc...

What do I find? $200 a gallon plus activator and catalyst because they no longer sell the higher VOC Dupont ($50 a gallon plus $30 for Catalyst for better paint:flame:) in the Bay Area. Needless to say I want to take a drive. Do any of you guys know if the paint is sold in your area? I am going on a road trip... someone said Santa Cruz might still have it...

There is one right across from Interstate Batteries on Phelan in San Jose. Can't remember the name though, lol. Its close to Sims Metal and Pick N Pull if you know where that is. California gets more and more whacky each year, I hear you can't buy Raptor liner or other non approved liners also. Lame, at least they wont take away toys in my happy meals, oh wait...

Makes me want to find another state before I'm in too deep around here...
That, and living in Oakland...

I just got home from Oaktown, I like the taco truck that hangs out by the DMV. Its really crummy and old but the food is good, I havent gotten sick yet so thats a plus.

Taco trucks are amazing. Probably the best thing california has.

B&Z Auto Color in Modesto probably has the paint you need. They had it two years ago when we repainted a couple scissor lifts at work. Also Watsonville had a real big nice auto paint supply place but I don't remember what it is called.

I ordered a Synthetic Enamel online. Illegal for local bodyshops to apply but I'm doing it myself... Could be interesting. Was 69.99 Incl activator... 10 to ship.
