i cant really find a good set of used 33 12.5's for a good price so im going to crack down and buy some new tires, so heres the story... my xj is a daily driver with a 4.5" lift trimmed fenders it prolly spends 75-80% of its life on the street throwing down 15K miles a year, its offroad life consists of sand from the sand dunes, mild rock crawling, nothing real technical maybe a 6

Quite rocky or deep ruts. Rocks to 12" and frequent. Water crossings may exceed hub depth with strong currents. Shelves to 6". Mud may require checking before proceeding. Moderate grades to 20 degrees. Sidehill may approach 30 degrees. 4WD necessary and second attempts may be required with stock vehicles. Caution may be required with wider vehicles.

and during the winter months i like to go into snow, but nothing real deep.

i've read that the grabber at2's are great tires and for the price i cant beat it, does anyone have a better tire to reccomend? im really not wanting to buy a bad set of tires i cant afford to pick the wrong ones. so any help would be greatful

thanks

Man if I were you I would seriously look at getting a set of Thornbirds. They are cheaper and I think they would fit your rig and driving style perfectly.

Do you bring angle finder on the trail those are some really specific measurements

thanks for being adults about it... no i dont bring an angle finder but when looking at this chart http://www.colorado4x4.org/trail_ratings.html that was my best guestimate as to the quality of trails i run. sorry im not an expert at the color ratings... maybe you can point me in that direction and i can give you a color instead of a number.

please im going to be buying these tires before my next trail run hopefully if they come quick enough and i'd like honest answers

Try Mod tech.
I had a pair of Futura Enforcer MTs. I liked them, lasted pretty good, had good traction.

Got em used. They were still good though when the Bridgestones I had up front went bald. They were all the same age though. The Bridgestones were bald the Futuras were still 50%+

They're also bike tires. As in "the kind with pedals."

since when did you have 37's? thornbirds are worthless in my opinion... i wouldnt ask for something with good mileage and traction and then go out and buy thornbirds that wont last me 12000 miles and hard to balance.

Mike Friday has them now I didnt want to run them so i sold them to mike. Hell i already got front and rear full size 44s also just dont know if i want to go ahead and install them..

Why not look at some BFG M/Ts or A/T Actually if your interested i have the A/T on my truck 33x12.5x15s that are almost brand new. ill sell them to you for 650

650 is more expensive than new price, if you go to tirerack.com right now and add 4 new bfg's to the cart, it's 644 for them prolly 750 after shipping charges, but even at that, i've seen you drive ur truck, do burn outs with it, doughnut's jump it etc etc... those tires are no where near new condition anymore... you've had them for at least a year that i know about...
