1987 2.5L auto with only 75K on it
OK, I just spent a lot of bucks on my transmission. Besides addition of a cooler he replaced a lot of parts. No should I say they said they did
The initial problem was it did not shift from 1st to second until around 30 or more really reving the engine. Note if If I got on it and let off it would shift. The next point was about 45 and then finally 65ish. At any point releaseing the throttle usually made it shift.
He said it was the throttle assembly parts actually inside the transmission. While in there he replaced some other rings gaskets and such.
Drove home (highway) and was satisfied. Today I drove it to work non-highway, stop and go and I am worried. Shifts smooth but at 20, 35ish, 45ish and 65ish. Seems like really reving still. No tach
so maybe that is next.
Long post but just wondering if any other 2.5L auto's out there think this is the norm. I swear it was not that noticeable before
I will not discuss with the Transmissin place until I see if I get any response.
THANKS in ADVANCE.
