Sewing machine

The handlebar bag that I am using during my upcoming race attaches to the handlebar with 2 velcro straps. I finally got all my gear together and know how I'm going to pack the front bag but it appears that the straps are about 2" too short (probably due to the fact that I run o/s sized bars). I think it will be fine if an extension is sewn on but it probably needs to be done with a good machine/thread and someone that knows what they're doing. Anyone have one or have a wife/family member or significant other that has one that can help me out? I'll gladly pay. I was hoping to ride from Denver to Buena Vista along the trail one day early this week but I'm gonna need to get this sorted first. Shtanks.

go to one of the local dry cleaning places. they have good sewing machines and will also gladly take your money. added smiley so i don't seem like that much of a dick.

I would imagine any upholstery shop, furniture or automotive could do it up right.

You can stop by your local shoe repair shop too. They regularly stitch 3/8-1/2" leather with the strongest cord available.

Good call on the shoe place. I know where one is on the West side too. I think they'll use beefy thread that'll hold up.
