New responsibilities, lack of interest, commuting, yadda yadda, have forced me to sell the Jeep. Here she is:
1998 4.0L 4X4 Cherokee Sport 4DR
Automatic Transmission
NP231J transfer case
148XXX miles
Towing Package
Power Windows
Power Locks
Power Steering
The modifications:
Airraid cold air intake
Off-Road Fabrication front tubular bumper
OME steering stabilizer
JKS chromoly tie rod
2x Hella 500 off-road lamps on bumper mount
Rubicon Express 4.5" lift kit
Rubicon Express quick-disconnect swaybar end-links
Rubicon Express 1.75" spacers
Rubicon Express shocks for 4.5" lift
Performance Off Road Center SYE for NP231
Stock-style transfer case skid plate
Front-style driveshaft for rear axle
'89 Jeep Cherokee Dana 44 with JKS clearanced shock mounts, Riddler Diff Cover, and Teraflex disc brake kit
Slickrock Gear front steel fender flares
32x11.50x15 Maxxis Bighorns (40% front tread, 65% rear tread) on 15x8 Cragar Soft 8 wheels
The bad:
front fenders, if slickrock fenders removed, are chopped up and have holes in them from mounting the fenders
the front doors are removable (by design)
large dent in passenger front door
passenger door has a hard time shutting (though when shut, it stays shut)
power steering line is cracked and leaking
power steering box steams when at full lock for some time (such as when parallel parking)
power steering is very sloppy (about 20 degrees of sway in the wheel)
track bar bracket on axle needs to be repaired - the bolt hole became slightly oblong (about 1/16" movement side to side)
very slight driveline vibration above 2000RPM
mystery reason that front wheels are cambered inward; I've replaced wheel bearings and ball joints with no luck.

I'm taking offers really. Realistically, the low-end of KBB on a 1998 XJ Sport is $2950. I have had it up now for $2800 OBO with only two offers of $1800 and $2100. So I guess I'll entertain any offers around or above these. I would rather it go to someone who will fix and use it for its intended purpose.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT PM me here!!! Please email me at sharpie1k @ gmail.com with any questions or offers. I don't check this site enough. Also, please state that you read it from
so I know. Thank you.
