seeking knowledge...Ford F series

I picked up an 85 F250 XLT 4WD during the summer. It's equipped with a fresh 460,C6. Body's shot...been looking for months for a clean donor.

Now locally i find an 83 F250 4WD Dump Truck. Was a running 6.9 Diesel.

Owner uses the statement that "it's a 1ton dump".Wouldnt that be an F350?

I'm basically looking for a clean cab, and this one from pics looks great.Bonus that it's a dual wheel rear...prolly a 70HD.

With a good running 6.9,dual rear and clean cab i'm now considering this as the basis for my towrig.

A dump chassis has the same wheelbase as a pickup with 8ft bed...correct?

Wouldnt a Ford 4WD dump have a D60 front axle? Dont see them installing an 8lug 44 in this application.

I have an 85 f 250 that I swapped from 6.9 to a 460 with a c6, but about the bed fitting the dump chassis, i know that some chassis that are built for stuff like indurial bodies and flatbeds the frame rails can be shorter and sometimes narrower. Correct me cause I may be wrong.
