I completed my mission of going into Oregon to McMinnville observed some XJ`s no NAXJA tatoos .Went to the Evergreen Air Museum, saw the Spruce Goose and alot of other war and non war aircraft ,very interresting place.
Then was able to escape the Oregon Country  and return to Washington:clap: I did observe a Grand Cherokee with a new lightwieght frosted soft rear window with soft silver strips across it :redneck rear window:[plastic and duct tape ]on HWY205
Was a good trip and weekend.

There is no such thing as a "Spruce Goose." There is a Hughes Aircraft H-4 Hercules (HK-1, for Henry Kaiser, of Jeep history...). Maybe that's what you're talking about...?

Sorry, I'm a member of the museum and a Hughes aficionado. :D I got to sit in the pilot's seat on the 55th anniversary of the first H-4 flight. Pretty damn cool, if I do say so myself. You are right about the museum, though; very cool place. B-17, P-38, P-51, Me-109, F4-U Corsair, P-40, and an assortment of other cool aircraft.

Another great air museum is the Tillamook blimp hanger, near McMinnville. Not as polished as EAM, but all their stuff is in flying condition. Worth the trip.

Damnit, my airplane geek side came out again. :)

Chillax kid. We all knew what he was talking about.

EXCUSE ME, but it was given the name Spruce Goose , but there isn`t much spruce in it,they also say that at the museum.
So when are you going there to the IMax theater they`re building ?
And did you know they are building another building to house more treasures ?
Besides aircraft they do have a Jeep [well really it was built by Ford] and a few other wheeled vehicles.
