Seat Swap Thread (Yes I searched)

I dont understand why people dont like the seats. My 87 has the stock seats that recline/pivot. They are actually pretty comfy. But if there was a way i could put my front seats out of my dodge ram truck into the jeep i would. I like how the middle seat has a storage bin in it.

I go to the autoparts area, and search for "jeep". Most people that are parting a Jeep are not pushing to sell the interior. So drop them a note, and you can usually score a deal.

Man i saw those 35s on there and wish i lived closer to you LOL...400 for the tires and rims!!!

My 91 XJ's front seats are shot. I have a buddy swapping out the ones from his 97 that are in good shape... He is keeping his brackets. Will the new ones bolt right up?

Swapped 99 WJ into 97 X. The bases dont line up unless you want to drill a new hole. The seat pans do line up, so swapped the X base onto the new seats and they work great.

one thing i noticed, the W seats are alot plusher then the X and i sit about 3-4" higher in the seat.

I got mine for $60 off craigslist.

i just put the same seats in my xj. $33 at a local junkyard from a ZJ.

the above pictured zj seats went into my 95 xj. i had to put the xj bases onto the zj seats, but the bases bolted right up. they do sit a little higher and they are more reclined when fully up than the stock xj seats, but they are way more comfortable. now my back doesnt scream at me after spending a day wheeling.
