SE Virginia GWNF trip

So me and a couple other guys are heading to the mountains of the George Washington National Forest for the weekend of Oct 7-9. I know its short notice but anybody who wants to come along is welcome. We normally don't get into the trails till late friday but night jeepin' is the best sometimes. Mostly rocks, rivers and sandy trails. nothing to extreme unless you want it to be.

already have two xj's, a zj, and a bronc-ette goin so any rig will do. no discriminatin' on this trip.

Ill be at Bayfest, in Alabama, we get back in 2 weeks, then I got 3 days at the end gf the month, and then I will never go to sea again. So if you do this again post it up!

well shit. I've got to get my gears done this weekend, and put my SYE on. Knowing my luck I won't be able to pull that of Thursday night.

Sat is my birthday. I've been planning a wheeling trip to celebrate but my buddies in an Xterra and Bronco can't make it. Since I'm pretty much ready to go anyway, I might be down to head out with you guys. Are you guys camping or staying in a motel somewhere? I'm in Portsmouth myself. Are you guys meeting up to convoy out?

I do wish these M&Gs and camping trips would stop happening when I'm at sea. The end of this month I'm in for good, so how about a November trip. December I imagine it would be too cold for comfort.

Doing the lift on base tomorrow minus gears, tires, and driveline. I think I'm out as far as this one goes.

Shawn: I'm in for a trip whenever you're in. Tell your CO workups be damned, we've got some land based runs to make.

Not an issue for me, we stay pier side after the end of the month, then we go to dry dock in December, as of today I have only 10 days left of at sea time. I get out the navy as we leave BAE. that's why I want to go on a wheeling trip with the local guys, leave with a good memory. And besides, I'm only going to Pittsburgh, I could always meet up with you guys in mountains.

I'm hoping to be gone by December as well. "A" school is my best shot, or I go on another cruise with the Enterprison. I'm going to push outside my comfort zone to get all my parts in quick. I'd like to be out on the trails every free weekend I get. Hopefully we'll get some snow before I leave! I grew up wheeling only in snow, and I don't do dirt half as well haha.

SLG: I'll PM you my number, text me tomorrow. I don't have to replace my stock one with yet, but I may be able to pull of the stocker with a 4.5"... That'll be a shitty day if I don't though!
