ScanguageII and our XJ...

I have a scanguage from my last vehicle, I love it. It's saved me twice.

But it seems limited in my 99 XJ.

Does anyone have one working in a 99+ XJ ?
care to share some of the codes?

And does anyone know if the ECU reads oil temps or trans temps?
I'd like to get that working in the scanguage if possible.

thanks.

I have one; I basically use it like more accurate gauges along with the mileage/fuel use functions. The Jeeps are pretty crude; there aren't (at least that I found to work on my 97) many additional codes that can be used. No temps or pressures for the oil and trans, no AFR... I think the only one that worked was the injector trim.

I have one as well and when trying to use it on my 99 I found that it does not properly automatically detect the communication protocol to properly speak to the ECU. I can't remember what I had to set it to to get it to properly communicate, but I did eventually get it working, but I had to use it to pull codes from a friend's vehicle and never put it back in. Someday I will get a blendmount or something, or perhaps stick it to the bottom of the center stack in front of the shifter, but I haven't got around tuit yet. The only things that were really interesting to me that aren't already on the gauge cluster were IAT and something else, I forget... but don't recall seeing oil or trans temp; I'm not even sure that those are monitored by the ECU or that there are even sensors for them at all.
