If i can get up that early i'd like to go on the easy/moderate run! It's fun to just relax and look at the scenery for a while, not to mention keep the woman from swearing every time I floor it and the back jumps up 2 feet or so

My POS handheld CB is lucky to talk to the guy in front of me.
Besides, for a real emergency, I wouldn't count on a CB to save my life. I've got a dual band 2m/73cm rig in the Jeep. The handheld CB is to satisfy the checklist, nothing more. I find it rare to actually need it as long as everyone keeps the guy in front and behind them in sight. Search Pirate 4x4 for ham radio. If you're going to spend the money, get licensed and spend it there, costs about the same, and the ability to use a repeater can save your own, or someone else's life.
