Well I figured out don't go to sand lake with out a reservation anymore. They closed the first come first serve loop.

Yea I don't think I'll ever camp there again after seeing what they did to the camp ground. The only reason I went there is because of that area they closed. It was perfect for us because the water/beach was right there. I could leave my boat right at the waters edge so there was no packing it back and forth and the kids could play so we could see them from camp. Also if I left town on a Thursday nite or Friday morning I always seemed to get a spot.
Oh well I'll just have to start making reservations across the bay at Whalen island.
