This is agreat way to start the day. I just hope it's the real one(I heard there were 3-5 people that look like him also,) thatwere being positioned around Iraq to confuse the Allies over the last few months of his rule.
Anyway, let's see how the news unfolds...... :us:

We're probably gonna have into Iran to get Osama though......It's a shame they werent together...

I'd love to see Saddam tried in his own country for his crimes...and punished in the traditional way....

Maybe they could televise it...

first the fingernails

then fingers

then hand

recuperation time given due to loss of blood....maybe an IV and cauterize wounds with hot iron

toes and feet come off next

throw him off one of his palaces

let the families of the deceased ( I know there is a lot) each throw 1 stone at him until mangled to a bloody pulp

Me thinks that there would a second pilgrimage...this time to see Saddam Die

Let's not forget our brave soldiers that made it happen.....all for 10.00 extra pay per day....

this is the one piece of news i was almost positive we would NEVER hear.... however this does NOT mean its over.... although i wish it did.... hope the boys come home soon..

Actually John Boy, I got a better suggestion:
Back in 1600's or 1700's when a traitor against country was caught in Europe during a battle... what they would do to him would stick him on a pole.... the process looked as follows: they would sharpen a tree trunk and lay it flat on the ground and secure it to the ground so it wouldn't move. Then they would attach the culprits legs one to each horse and they would very slowly and gently (so that he would not loose conciousness) pull him onto the sharp end. If he did loose conciousness, he would be given a moment to rest (while unconcious) then he would be brought back onto the planet earht :D. After they got him a fair ways onto the trunk, they would tilt the trunk into a hole that was dug so that he would be in a vertical position. Then... to help gravity, his legs would be weighed down a bit so that he'd be constantly in a slight downward motion...... after about 2 or 3 days (people supposedly would live about 4 to 5 days of that!) they would set him on fire and leave him......

Oh the good ol'e times :D

That makes my ass pucker up

They should’ve finished the job when they had the chance, right there on the spot.
I highly doubt he’ll get the justice he’s deserving of. :smoker: :hang:

a public execution would do more for his "legend" and ensure his martyrdom... a simple shot from a M1911 to the base of the head and left to bleed in the room where he was found would be more suitable..... absolute justice... no chance of "exile" to syria... life in prison with 3 hots and a cot is not justice either... would have been better to "off" him in his underground cubicle and say nothing at all...... his capture itself could hold a "message" for sleeper-cells throughout the world... same goes for Osama..... get it done.. do it quietly.. tell very few people... make it happen..

Granted, it would have been simpler, had he died. But the fact remains..we're trying to install the 'rule of law' in Iraq. He gave up, thus was a prisoner, therefore, there's a trial ahead. If we turn him over to a mob, we might as well have left him in power. I do hope justice is a lot swifter there..than over here. Had he resisted, and been killed, great. He didn't..and I'd just as soon not have our boys up on charges, as ironic as 'violating his civil rights' might seem.

I doubt he will end up in a countryclub prison...no matter how/when he dies, it will not be soon enough or painful enough to account for what he has done.
The best thought is this....he eventually will have to face the ultimate judgement...and burn in hell for eternity for what he has done. :yelclap: :firedevil

Throw him off in an American penitentiary. Every week move him in with a different tush hog and he'll slowly get the pen version of Kechupjar's log treatment.

I kinda like simple solutions. Just leave him in the hole they found him in and slide an outhouse over top of it. Form a line folks. TC

Morally I'm with Poomba - let's do it right, and show Saddam and the world what real justice is by giving him what he wouldn't give others. No blaze of glory. No martyrdom and no shot at becoming a new icon of Islamic solidarity.

Aesthetically, though, I like TC's outhouse solution. I imagine the lines would be very long. For incentive, free burritos while you wait.

Lefty or righty, this is good news for all, especially when the operation was so well handled. I see even the Germans sent their congratulations!
